We are pleased to be able to offer the ‘Puffer’ stove designed by Colin Edmondson. The ‘Puffer’ stove is designed to fit comfortably into a 7 1/4” gauge narrow gauge guards van. The grate area is adjustable so that the stove will not produce too much heat for a confined space. The top will take a tiny single egg frying pan or a kettle.
The lower air disc controls the heat output of the stove, the upper one can be adjusted to give the right amount of top air to help consume all the smoke. The firing door drops down to ninety degrees and the ash pan door lifts and locks up, the legs are inset so that you can get a tin under the lip to drag the ash out. The baffle at the top is removable to clean away any soot that falls down the chimney.
At 560mm high, 160mm wide and 250mm deep this compact stove is ideal for use in signal boxes, guards vans, workshops, small boats and many more places where you need some heat.
The stove is available either as a kit of parts or ready assembled and includes the stainless steel coolie hat for the top of the chimney. Please note, chimney is not included, you will need a piece of 60.3mm diameter pipe cut to your required length.
The version shown is fitted with optional side tray and back boiler. Back boiler version no longer available.
Available fully assembled or as a kit.
