7¼” Profile Gauge

Description

7¼” Profile Gauge by Colin Edmondson.

This dual purpose gauge is laser cut from 3mm zinc coated steel, and has the 7 ¼ “ Gauge Society’s narrow gauge profile on one side and their standard gauge profile on the other. It checks your wheel profile, back to back settings and amount of wear in just one pass.

• Useful for the builder, for checking wheel profile during construction.
• Useful for the Club, for checking that club and visiting locos and rolling stock match the Society standards.
• Useful for the Dealer, for making sure that what he buys and sells is to Society standards.
• Useful for the poor chap responsible for winter maintenance, for instantly checking the amount of wear on each set of wheels.

Complete with 6mm hole for hanging on a nail above the bench, or for attaching your railway keys.
