Description

The Super Knight is a CMD Engineering designed loco.

The Super Knight uses the standard IC engine and an Eaton 7 setup. From there, the output from the Eaton is chained to a layshaft and then onward to the axles. Along this drivetrain, the layshaft and axles are all keyed and also utilise taper-lock sprockets. In addition, the axle boxes are take-up units and are sprung with heavy-load die springs. Finally, all three drive chains are independently adjustable, thereby allowing for precise tensioning and alignment.
