Track & Point Building Gauges

Description

Track & Point Building Gauges by Colin Edmondson.

These gauges are laser profiled from 6mm steel, and incorporate a sensible sized handle slot to assist in pulling them out after welding up track and points.

The gauges come in a set and comprise of four different types;

One ‘six peg’ gauge. Which will locate check and wing rails to the correct back to back measurement when building points or level crossings.

One of the ‘5 peg’. Which is used in point building when working around the point frog, where a standard 6 peg gauge will not fit.

Six of the ‘four peg’ gauges. Designed to accurately hold 10mm thick bar stock rails whilst welding is taking place. It’s also available to suit 12mm thick bar stock

A pair of ‘two peg’ gauge gauges. Designed to ensure that the rails are at least the correct distance apart.
