Description

The Knight is a CMD Engineering designed loco. And the reason the business began!

The Knight locomotive is a capable medium duty locomotive.  Powered by a 6.5hp petrol engine and Eaton hydrostatic transmission.  As standard these loco’s feature electric start, throttle and choke controls, simple forward and reverse lever and two tone horns.

    Excellent quality locomotive, can’t recommend enough. These run our railway in Essex commercially faultlessly and are very capable engines. If you want somthing reliable, don’t get anything else unless it’s a super knight

    This is a very good loco which I have now run on club gala days with great success. At May’s open afternoon and despite the presence of steam running at the same time there was no shortage of ‘custom’ for rides behind the Knight with a solid unbroken queue for our 16 passenger capacity unit which this capable loco managed with ease despite a steady uphill gradient from the base station. The full afternoon was managed on one fill of fuel with less than 2 litres used – so a very economical unit as well. Customers remarked the Knight was a very handsome looking loco and many photos were taken
